This area of the world is famous for its winters, especially with Whistler just a short drive away. But Pemberton, nestled just 30 minutes north of the resort town, really comes alive during the summer.

There are so many things to do and you can a real sense of adventure and serenity away from the crowds of Vancouver and Whistler.

The Weather

To start with Pemberton has the warmest temperatures in the local area. When the weather in Squamish and Whistler is in the mid-20s you can pretty much guarantee that Pemberton is pushing upwards of 30!

And with this fantastic weather it means you can get outside and really enjoy the area.

There are some truly spectacular hikes in and around Pemberton, such as Joffre Lakes, a place that to many typifies what Canada looks like – beautiful blue water, against a backdrop of towering snow-capped mountains.

Farmer’s Markets

Pemberton is known for its incredible farmland offering a huge range of organic produce. The farmer’s markets are the perfect platform of this and you can find some delicious food along with art and crafts stalls!


What better way to get close to nature in Pemberton than to go camping. Practically anywhere can be the perfect camping spot, but there are a number of fantastic places to go such as Lilloet Lake and one of the many hot springs.

Pemberton Festival

Pemberton Festival attracts the biggest artists in the world, such as Kendrick Lamar and The Black Keys. It is a great sight to witness your favourite musicians in one of the most beautiful places.
