If you’re not familiar with Pemberton, it’s located just a short 30 minute drive north of Whistler. A rural farming town, it is nestled in the valley below the impressive backdrop of Mt Currie.
Unlike Whistler which, as a resort, can often have that crowded feel, Pemberton is a true mountain town. The area is peaceful and everyone knows each other, creating a welcoming, friendly community.
The Pemberton neighbourhoods each have their own feel and range from the vibrant town centre, to remote outlying areas like Birken and D’Arcy. Property types here come in all shapes and sizes, from condos, to family homes, to chalets with acreages.
The Village is the heart of Pemberton, with all the amenities you could possibly need. There are shops, cafes and restaurants, all built in a distinct frontier style, which fits perfectly with the pastoral setting.
The Village offers a range of housing options, including condos and some townhouses. It is ideal for those looking to be at the centre of the action, while still enjoying the benefits of a small town feel.
Moving just outside the Village is The Meadows. Located along the Lillooet River, surrounded by farm and equestrian land, you will find some impressive properties. Homes here tend to come with a lot of land, and are perfect for those looking for a large home in a quiet area.
Voted the most popular neighbourhood for a number of years running, The Glen, is mainly made up of young families occupying single-family homes, along with two townhome complexes.
The area is conveniently located just off Highway 99, with easy access to the Village and local park.
For those looking to escape, Birken, D’Arcy and Devine offer huge expanses of land and easy access to a plethora of recreational activities. This area is in the far north east of Pemberton and has a mix of cabins, houses and farms.
If you want to get even further away from it all, then there is Lillooet. This is true cabin country with large estates, working farms, and waterfront properties. Similar to Birken, D’Arcy and Devine, there are a lot of outdoor activities to enjoy and a real feeling of being out in the wild!
