As the temperature rises and the snow line recedes to the peaks of the mountains, Pemberton really comes alive.
If you’re familiar with the area you’ll know that Pemberton is famous for its arable farmland, yielding tons of fresh produce for the local farms. With summer comes the (literal) fruits of labour as everyone along the Sea-to-Sky corridor gets to enjoy the spoils at the local farmers’ markets.
But obviously there’s more to the area than just farming. Summer brings a huge variety of outdoor activities, along with events and festivals. Here are some of our favourite things about Pemberton in summer:
There are so many activities to keep you occupied throughout the summer including mountain biking, hiking, golf, camping, fishing and more!
There is something for everyone, whether you just want to relax by a lake or take on a hiking or biking trail. With so much to choose from, it can be hard to decide what to do, so why not ask a local or one of our agents?
Everyone in Pemberton is extremely friendly and will be able to point you in the right direction!
Fresh produce galore
As we mentioned, the area is famous for its fresh produce. We highly recommend checking out the weekly farmers’ market, but you can also get more hands on and pick-your-own at one of the local farms.
North Arm Farm is possible the most well known u-pick where you can pick your own fresh berries and more!
Every summer Pemberton Music Festival comes to the base of Mount Currie. The festival draws a huge number of world-famous artists who perform over the four day event.
Previous performers include Neil Young, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Muse, Coldplay, and The Black Keys, to name a few!
This is a weekend not to be missed as fans from all over BC come to take in the impressive spectacle.
It may surprise you to know that Pemberton has some of the warmest temperatures in the local area! When the weather in Squamish and Whistler is in the mid-20s you can pretty much guarantee that Pemberton is pushing upwards of 30!
All of this great weather means that you can get outside and really enjoy the area. Whatever you choose to do here you will quickly see the appeal and why so many people choose to call it home!
