This year they are changing up the celebration by bringing in the New Year with a 2 day free event on December 31, 2017 and January 1, 2018, with tons of activities for the whole family!
There are many incredible areas to explore backcountry skiing in Pemberton, whether it is through a guided tour or on your own. The Joffre Lakes, Marriot Basin, and Cerise Creek are among some of the most popular spots.
Winter fishing is a must-do for all visitors and residents alike to have a true Canadian experience! Some of the fish you may catch include Rainbow trout, coastal cutthroat, steelhead and more.

Ice Skating on the Lakes
When there isn’t as much snow on the ground, but you’re still looking for a fun winter activity, try ice skating on one of the many lakes in Pemberton including One Mile Lake and Gates Lake. It’s a fun activity for the whole family to enjoy!
Spud Valley Loppet Nordic Ski Race
This multiple day racing event takes place in February each year, and is a celebration of Nordic winter sports. It is open to various ages to participate or witness as the skiers zoom by on the finely groomed track in the Pemberton and District area.
